First is that both Germany and the United States have stated that they want to reopen their economies. This is good news and as the travel ban is lifted Tesla CEO Elon Musk can travel to Berlin to attend the Giga Berlin’s groundbreaking in Grunheide.
Second, is that Tesla has almost finished Giga Berlin’s leveling and road construction on the property has begun. This creates a favorable conditions for the groundbreaking.
According to Teslarati’s Joey Klender “Tesla Giga Berlin has completed the final phases of land preparation before ringing in an official groundbreaking ceremony. Construction equipment, including three excavators, one wood splitter, and a dirt splitter, was spotted on-site on Monday and will be used as part of a final step to shred the accumulation of tree roots from the land clearing. Tesla is expected to commence the official groundbreaking upon acceptance of an application filing with Brandenburg’s local government.”
