#1. The People that live here are friendly & hospitable.
#2. We have 5 National Parks & really, there are several other locations not designated as National Parks that are just as unique & exciting to visit which includes 43 state parks. Each one of these amazing places deserve a video of their own & maybe I’ll do that someday, but for now you’ll just have to google them. Our National parks include Zions, Bryce Canyon, Arches, Capitol Reef, & Canyonlands.
#3. We have the greatest snow on earth. Or at least we claim that we do & there’s like a ga-zillion skiers & snowboarders that believe we have the greatest powder on the planet. To make things even better for those of us who live here or for those visiting, SLC is one of the most accessible ski destinations in the world with 14 ski resorts within a short drive of SLC. You could easily be skiing or snowboarding within 1 hour of leaving your house. Yes, we are that close to the Mountains.
#4. Sense of community in UT is 2nd to none
#5. Utahn’s are generous with both time & money. Utah is #1 for the percentage of residents who donate time and money.
#6. UT as a state & many of our cities are consistently ranked among the top places to live in the country. Last year, US News ranked UT as the 4th best state, due to our strong economy & solid infrastructure, among other things. Utah is also a safe place to live & raise a family.
#7. Our state is run well. We have one of the most fiscally responsible governments in the country. US News ranked UT #5 in the United States.
#8. UT is the land of opportunity. Our mining, banking & tech industries lead the way to one of the best job markets in the country which includes crazy low unemployment rates.
#9. All 4-seasons. Yes, sometimes I get tired of the snow. But there is so much beauty in the experiencing the 4 seasons. And, the 4-seasons bring a healthy balance to life & nature which enhances Utah’s beauty & makes it the wonderful place that it is.
#10. Utah is a land of Adventure & fun. I’ve already mentioned the 5 National parks, the 43 state parks, & all of the ski resorts, but there’s more. Utah boast a seamlessly endless supply of hiking, biking & jogging trails. Also, fishing, hunting, climbing, boating, & white-water rafting & more.
For those of you who are concerned about living in the land of the Mormon’s, you have nothing to worry about. Utah & Salt Lake City have become a culturally diverse place to live. I do talk more about this & other subjects in my other 2 videos about Utah.
