We are looking at how to pronounce this word that designates in English a sum of money that is owed or due. So, a sum of money that you owe to somebody, or that somebody owes to someone. How do you go about pronouncing this in English or American? Essentially, it is very like the B is silent. So you just pretend the B is not there, and simply say DET. Debt. Debt. Pretty much like it was DET or DETT: Debt. Debt. Pretty straightforward: Debt.
