The EIDL is designed to provide EMERGENCY relief to struggling small businesses across the United States. But after not hearing anything from the SBA or the Trump administration regarding these emergency disaster grants, I am starting to get worried.
First the SBA changed the guidelines of the EIDL to only offer $1,000 per employee, instead of a payment of up to $10,000. Now they aren’t communicating whether or not your loan application has even been approved.
Fortunately, lenders are assisting those seeking assistance with the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP). The same cannot be said for the EIDL. Let’s hope the SBA begins funding this vital disaster relief program ASAP.
