The Fix the Debt Team traveled to both the 2012 Republican and Democratic National Conventions to talk with attendees about the dangers posed by rising debt and the bipartisan effort underway via the Fix the Debt Campaign to find a solution. In this short clip the Fix the Debt team and citizens we met at the conventions hold up the startling statistics, showing that U.S. public debt is over $11 trillion, and expected to reach $19 trillion by 2020 — 86 percent of GDP — and ever-rising levels after that if we do not change course.
